Hi!
I am probably related to the Carpentier family through a marriage between Marc Carpentier
and Marie Millot (born between 1613 and 1617). They lived in St. Quentin, France.
My mother's family, Milo, has traced its origins back to the Millot family of St.
Quentin.
Marc Carpentier is listed in "La Reform a Saint-Quentin et aux environs de XVI a la
fin de VXIII siecle" by Alfred Daulle. He renounced his faith (Hugeunot) on Nov. 30
1685 at Bohain.
The names of both their children, Judith Carpentier and Jean Carpentier, appear in out
family history, as well as the names Desjardins and Lenain.
Because information from that time is sketchy at least, it would be great if you
could/would be able to confirm any of the above mentioned information.
I know at some point both the Millot and the Carpentier family moved to the Netherlands.
I am on the verge of receiving more information from a relative, who has travelled to
St.Quentin to look into the church records.
Is this of any use to you?
With warm regards,
Kya Milo
