Hi Everyone,
I'm sending this to let you know that Rootsweb is deep in the process of
upgrading its servers. This is going to continue during the next couple of
weeks.
From Rootsweb:
"The following resources are currently
disabled or will be soon, due to the
upgrading: any websites beginning
www.rootsweb.com (including our main
page), websites on Freepages, RootsWeb Surname List (RSL), Archiver
(browsable mailing list archives), and mailing lists on lists3 and lists5
(which will also impact list administrator functions for those lists), and
most versions of File Manager (online editors). During the transition,
Password Central may show some incomplete listings, especially for Post-em
Notes."
What does this mean to you? It means that some list mail might be delayed
in being delivered (don't worry, it won't get lost - just delayed).
I have limited access to my administrative tools and in some cases cannot
help with subscribing and unsubscribing, etc. This is all very sporadic and
one never knows what is "up and running" and what is "off line".
Please bear with us, and hopefully this will all be settled soon.
Thanks for your patience,
Karima
List Administrator
