Hello! I've been on the Carpenter family notification list for a while, hoping that I
would see a familiar name pass through. My great grandmother was Viola Amelia
Jack (born 2-26-1872 in Manson, Iowa), married Avery D. Carpenter on 12-06-1899. I can
find no information on his ancestry. Anyway, they had three children whose
early years, at least, were spent in the Fort Worth, TX area. Their names were Phillip,
Beatrice, and Margaret. Phillip grew up with my father, so I assume he was
born around 1905. Do you think it possible that William and Avery were related? The
common names in their families seem more than coincidental to me. Let me know if
you have any information or if I may be able to provide you any clues.

Hi, I would like to know if anyone has information on
A. William Carpenter married to Frances "Frannie" Rucker on July 23, 1881.
Frances was born May 11, 1864 and died July 22, 1894. They had the following children.
1. Viola Anna Carpenter born November 11, 1886, Pearsal, Texas married to John Lee Hunt
on February 10, 1908.
2. Margaret Carpenter married to a Harrison.
3. John Carpenter
4. Allie F. Carpenter born Sept 18, 1892.
5. George Carpenter born 1886.
I think A. William Carpenter was born in Kentucky and died in Texas. There is a rumor
that their last name was changed from Zimmerman to Carpenter.
Thanks for any information you may have. Keep smiling! Pamela
