Donna,
You are getting into genealogy bits and pieces that I do not have. Maybe
someone on this list has info?
And no, I have no Y-DNA descendant information on Jeremiah H.
Carpenter-168075 (b. Oct 1873 , Juniata, PA - d. 1961 , Orange, FL). I do
know he had at least one son named Gilbert Woodward Carpenter-168078 (b. 29
Sep 1898 PA - d. 30 Jun 1976 FL), but I have no listed children. I do know
he married Lillian Ewing Brown in 1937 (b. abt 1914 DE - d. ? ), but I have
no children for them.
If you could find a living male descendant or close living male surnamed
Carpenter cousin, then we could do a Y-DNA test. The closest ancestor
listed on the Carpenter Cousins Y-DNA Project Lineage Page is John
Carpenter-587 (aka John C#587) from Group 3.
Getting someone tested from this line for a Y-DNA test would be very
valuable to the Carpenter Cousins Y-DNA Project. And I may be able to
provide some type of discount.

Subject: [CARPENTER] Mary Polly Carpenter/ Jeremiah Carpenter
Good afternoon John,
I found another Carpenter connection, this time while researching my Pritt/
McKissic line. Mary Polly Carpenter married Peter Coger, and their daughter
Mary married Andrew Jackson McKissic. This part is pretty firm. Mary Polly’s
father though is supposed to be Jeremiah Hughes Carpenter. Researching this
led me to stories of him being kidnapped by Indians anywhere from the age of
a babe in arms to about 10 years of age. Also, there appear to be up to 4
Jeremiah’s at that point of time. Is there any DNA record of Jeremiah
Hughes Carpenter?
Thanks for your work!
