Hello John,
The book, "Timothy Carpenter & his Descendants" is on the CE CD 2001 as a
OCRed or electronic text.. This includes the addenda he added. All the
names are also on the GEDCOM data file.
Charles Lorain's 3 volume 1200 page "Descendants of William Carpenter" was
never completed and the draft version that is out does not have notes or
sources. All the data on that work is also on the CE CD 2001 GEDCOM file.
The SAR Library in Louisville has copies of all of the above.

I did a search on google yesterday to see if there were a place
selling
Charles Lorain Carpenter's books and found this. It does have a couple of
books that I'd like but I also have a copy of a book on the Forbes of GA,
VA, and TX written by Caroline Forbes that there are no more extant
copies
of. She is willing to have some printed. Does anyone know about
Quintin?
I tried to get two copies done at Kinko's (with Caroline's permission)
and
it was out of sight. But I might find a couple of thousand bucks to
get
some more printed here if this is a good company.
By the way, the C L Carpenter, Sr book I have is The Descendants of
Timothy Carpenter of Pittsdown, Renssalaer Co., New York and I can't find
a
copy of the other.....nor can I remember the name of it at moment.
Can
anyone help me here?
I do have several copies of the first of his books, printed at Kinko's
with his granddaughter's permission, and while I need to give about four
more to area libraries, I will bring the rest to Louisville at the end of
the month in case anyone needs a copy.
