I found Azubah. She's my grandmother's aunt's fourth cousin once removed,
daughter of Elijah Carpenter and Elvira Baldwin.
"Azubah was two years old when she was adopted by her mother's sister
Zeruiah wife of William Maxwell, later of Maxwell Park, Elmira (she did not
change her name to Maxwell). At the death of her husband in 1849 she
returned to her home of adoption where she died."
Interesting that they would give away a 2-year-old little girl.

I am looking for her ancestors. This may well be her married name.
She
wrote
a piece in my grandmother's aunt's remembrance book in
Elmira, Chemung,
New
York, June 17, 1832.
The aunt's name is Mary Edwards, born in Elmira in 1814. The family had
moved to Bath, Steuben, NY by 1823. She married David McMaster in Bath.
Some of those who wrote in the book were in Elmira. Others were in Bath,
Steuben, New York.
My grandmother's grandmother was Hannah Carpenter who married George
Cunningham Edwards.
I have the Carpenter Memorial, both disks, but haven't (yet) run across an
Azubah. Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.
