Hello, everyone!
When I received John's first message, I copied and pasted into a post to another list
I monitor, in response to someone asking how they could help.
I lived through the Florida wildfires a few years back and can definitely identify with
what he is telling us. I also copied and pasted his last message to that list. The
checks are being written!!
I am a Carpenter descendant of both Rehobeth and Providence! My great grandmother was the
end of my Carpenter line, but...
God Bless all of you!

I am looking for her ancestors. This may well be her married name. She wrote
a piece in my grandmother's aunt's remembrance book in Elmira, Chemung, New
York, June 17, 1832.
The aunt's name is Mary Edwards, born in Elmira in 1814. The family had
moved to Bath, Steuben, NY by 1823. She married David McMaster in Bath.
Some of those who wrote in the book were in Elmira. Others were in Bath,
Steuben, New York.
My grandmother's grandmother was Hannah Carpenter who married George
Cunningham Edwards.
I have the Carpenter Memorial, both disks, but haven't (yet) run across an
Azubah. Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.
