Subject: [CARPENTER] Re: ORLANDO CARPENTER
Hello Fellow Carpenters,
I am still looking for any information on the life and death of my
grandfather
-Orlando Carpenter,b Sept. 14, 1873. He was the son of Samuel B.
Carpenter b 1846,d Feb.2,1931(Plainville, CT.) & Harriet (McCollum)
Carpenter b 1845, d Sept 10,1931 in Abington, Mass..
Orlando had one brother Albion b 1876, both brothers were born
Westfield, Mass.Albion lived in Fort Lauderdale Fl.,buriedin Ocala,
Fla..(1963) has living relatives in Ocala & probably elsewhere in Florida.
My grandfather Orlando, married Emma Brown from Nova Scotia and had
4
sons and one girl who died a few months old. One son, my father Kenneth
F. Carpenter was born in 1897 in Mansfield (Depo), Ct. My father died
in
Saranac Lake, N.Y. in 1950. His three brothers Leo Preston, Augustus Arnold
& Lester pre-deceased him.
I lost track of Orlando shortly after 1905 either from Mansfield or
Nova
Scotia. He would have been 32 years of age in 1905, I have no record of him
after that. Whether he was killed or left his family.
I would be happy for any information, clues or ideas of how I can
find
ANY thing on what happened to him!
Thank You,
Preston Carpenter
