Hello,
We have a bit of a puzzle. I have been aware of the incorrect marriage date for Sarah
Carpenter for some time. Phoebe Cortez (Thank You!) recently sent me the web address
containing marriage records which pertain to this person. These records make the mystery
a little more interesting!
In relation to Sarah Carpenter-67814 there is no sister, first or second cousin listed as
"Sally" or "Sarah" born in the time period of 1760 to 1788 in the CE
CD.
Note: The one exception is a sister of Sarah named Sarah Carpenter-67810 who was born 15
Dec 1766 and died 26 Oct 1767.
Peckham Barber & Sarah Carpenter, ----- 12 Dec 1794 (marriage date in Cheshire county,
now, Berkshire, MA)
Pardon Arnold & Sally Carpenter, ----- 04 May 1794 ( " )
Based on first child birth of Sarah, 1 July 1794, the marriage to Pardon Arnold seems
reasonable.
Sally has been a nick name or a version of Sarah. I assume that this is the case above?
Does anyone have any comments or input?
Does anyone know who the Sarah Carpenter who married Peckham Barber was?
NOTE: The Mary Carpenter marriage below is Mary Carpenter-16999 in the CE CD 2001.
I appreciate any discussion.

a "Sally" married Pardon
Arnold on 4 May 1794. A "Sarah" married a Peckham Barber.
