Thank you for your posting. I found my gggrandfather Levi V. Carpenter in
the information that you shared.

[Levi is ABC #2154...some children diff from other
reports]"
I am curious as to what the reference to ABC #2154 means. I know that
according to Levi's Civil War File, his parents were Benjamin D. and
Elizabeth
Canfield Carpenter. I am hoping the ABC #2154 reference will help me
to
identify
further back on the family line.
