Hello All!
I would like to invite ALL Carpenters to the Carpenter Cousins Project with its Y-DNA
Project and the NEW Carpenter-1-Name (for all types of DNA tested) Project.
You do not need to test your DNA to participate in the Carpenter Cousins Project. I
encourage all to submit their genealogy and family history to the Project.
Please see:

On our main Carpenter Cousins Project webpage, there has been a few updates. Two new
items are indicated.
The first is the Carpenter-1-Name (mtDNA, atDNA and such) DNA Project noted above.
The second, related to the first, is that the Carpenter Cousins is now part of the Guild
of One Name Studies with the primary surname as Carpenter with the variants Carpender,
Carpentier, and Charpentier.
To account for immigrants to North America, who may have anglicized their surnames, the
project also includes the surnames Cymerman, Sherbondy, Zimmer, Zimmerman, Zimmermann.
For example, Zimmerman(n) is old German for worker of wood, and in North American, on
occasion, the surname was changed to Carpenter.
This moves the Carpenter Cousins Project from a regional North American Project into a
Global Project.
The Carpenter Cousins Project is the support page for Carpenter genealogy, family history
and DNA research.
