An interesting post. Yelverton was possibly the brother to Fielding
Carpenter and some have Stephen as their dad. May be true but I have yet to
see anyone prove this instance.
I say this is interesting as I have a marriage document from PA for Stephen
Carpenter and wife as many have listed. (Sorry I cannot think of her name
and I am on my laptop w/o access to my files). Many have him married in VA.
Don't think so.
I read somewhere years ago that families that were of Quaker religion moved
down into the CArolinas in the late 1700s. You very well may have something
here on the NY connection and since PA and NY are close together leads me to
believe it even more.
