Whoa Nellie! What a surprise - In going thru the boxes of material that I
have gathered - I came across the copy of "Some Descendants of Jonathan
Carpenter of Still Run" by James L. Carpenter.
So - will lookup for Benjamin Sam(p)son Carpenter - (My father had Sampson
for his middle name- it is from the Spanish American War and Commodore
Sampson, since Daddy was born in 1898)... just an aside.
It will take awhile as it is not indexed.
I find a Benjamin W. Carpenter, b.26 Jul 1754, d. before 1865, s/o Phillip
M. Carpenter & Lucy C. Eheart - lived in Greene Co., VA. He is in #4052
family. pp.63
#5010 - pp. 110 Benjamin Carpenter, s/o Dudley D. Carpenter b.3 Dec 1848
Woodford Co., KY. m. Mary Felix and he d.3 May 1919.
I went thru the book till those who were b. 1896 and do not find another
Benjamin Carpenter. Sorry -
Bette

At one time, I had the original when I was publishing the CARPENTER
CHRONICLES but no longer have a copy. Terry Carpenter might have copy
but if not, I believe that I sent it to the Family History Library in Salt
Lake City as they were on standing order with all my publications. If they
have it, it would have been microfilmed and therefore can be gotten from
any Family History branch library on loan.
Sorry that I don't have my copy as I would have been happy to do a
look-up.
