Hello Michael,
You asked if we "have a compilation of the various surname lines
appropriate." The answer is, "No."
This Carpenter forum has been open to any family that has had a Carpenter or
similar sounding or meaning name in it.
This includes but is not limited to: Carpenter, Carpender, Carpentier,
Charpentier, Carpentero, Carpenterio, Zimmerman, Zimerman, Zimermann, etc.
You may ask, why?, when there are other lists that can apply to those names.
Probably because we have been around for a long time and we have many people
willing to help where they can.
This list has been around since 19 Jan 1988 when the first message was
posted. For a listing of messages go to:
http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/CARPENTER
This list is like a family, and we welcome those who are related, even if
distantly.
I expect quite a few messages to be posted on or about 19 Jan 2008 wishing
everyone a Happy 20th List Birthday!

Hello all:
In some of the other Rootsweb lists, we have a compilation of the
various surname lines appropriate for that list.
Does anyone have a totting up of the various Carpenter lines
represented in this list?
