John, in a letter to me dated 26 March 1979, the then Town Clerk of Hardwick
named Paula Laperle wrote the following:
Parents Nathan and Sarah had the following children in Hardwick--Nathan born
1748;Lydia born 1750; Joseph born 1748;Hepsibah born 1757; Dinah born
1754;Patience born 1744;Sarah born 1746; Susanna born 1739 and Bengil born
1765.
She listed children of Nathan and Abigail as Abigail born 1733;Benjamin born
1737;Isaiah born 1735.
It was in a reply to my first letter to her that she wrote the 1738 date for
Nathan and Sarah's marriage.
Dinah's and David's marriiage I got from a Nutting family book.
I see it is pretty well accepted that Patience Tower was Nathan's first
wife, then there seem to be either two wives named Abigail or one Abigail
with some disagreement as to whether her name was Sabin or Rand. So I am
unsure if Sarah was his 3rd or 4th wife.
Again, thanks for your help!!
Sandi

Sandi,
If you confirmed the marriage record of Nathan Carpenter and Sarah Powers,
then my information is wrong.
Would you be so kind to make corrections and send it back to me?
Naturally, you get the credit for the corrections. So please add
something
like, "Marriage correction by Sandi Fish < sfish(a)stny.rr.com > in June
2007.
I appreciate your efforts!
