Thanks, John R. for sending us this. I hope we send in enough money for him
to have the full 37 plus the extra one for the split between the Rehoboth
and the Providence lines. Chuck's father was really helpful to me when I
first joined the list when it was much smaller than it is today. He was a
smart and nice guy, with a lot of talents who died young.
Our former List Administrator Charles A. Carpenter (deceased Feb 2006) of St
Cloud, FL has a son named Charles "Chuck" Adam Carpenter.
Chuck is struggling at Central Florida University and working on a degree in
Psychology. He is married and has one male child. His wife is providing
basic support while he goes through school and works part time. His
finances are tight as expected. Extended family is not present.
His father, Charles A. Carpenter went through several bouts of chemo therapy
and was unable to provide a Y-DNA sample. His son, Chuck, is willing but is
struggling since his father's finances were devastated by the repeated bouts
of cancer.
Chuck is the ONLY person I have been able to contact that is a descendant of
James Carpenter-113 b. 12 April 1668 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA, who was a son
of William Carpenter b. abt 1605 in England. We have NO Y-DNA reference
samples on that line.
We need $141 for Y-DNA testing. I had a $50 refund from FTDNA that I will
use. I put it into the General Fund. ($141 + $50 = $191 for a 37 marker
test)
Several donations of $10, $20 or even $25 could help cover this cost for
him.
People could ...
1) Mail him a check and mark it for a Y-DNA test. Or better yet ...
2) Put money in the General Fund - donate to "Carpenter Cousins" for Charles
Adam (Chuck) Carpenter.

Please note that it is for Chuck in the comment field.
Please help! Even a few dollars would help.
If you want Chuck's mailing address, please contact me direct at:

Chuck's email address is: ccarpenter3(a)cfl.rr.com
I will keep the list advised of what we able to do as the Carpenter Family.
