Hi John and Robert,
I'm having a few problems with this Gordon Russell Carpenter since none
of his siblings are listed. Apparently, Gordon is only survived by some
of his nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces. And the person shown as
his wife that preceded him in death (Mary Borah Carpenter) could have
been his third wife. I checked the obituary, there was no further
information.
Robert maybe you can help. This is the information that I have from
your book, page 363:
"J25555 Gordon Russell Carpenter, b-Feb. 6, 1920 Denton, Tex., m-(1)
Sep. 18, 1943 Muriel Ellen James, b-Mar. 3, 1916; (2) Aug. 4, 1962,
Mary Wade (c)"
Thanks
Bob Carpenter

His immigrant ancestor, Hans “John” Zimmerman-92092 (b. abt 1702 Steffisburg, Bern,
Switzerland) was age 30 when he arrived in 1732 on the ship Pink Plaisance with other
family members.
