I don't believe so. I have been unable to confirm any
of the vital-event
data you present. There is no known record of Hannah
following that of her
birth, at Swansea, Mass., on 21 1st mo. [March] 1671.
(March was the first
month of the Old Style [pre-1752] year.)
The Ancestral File is one of the least-reliable databases
available.
Hi, Gene Z.
Thanks again, but seeking further clarification, for the record,
including Carpenter genealogy:
For the record: re Hannah Carpenter, above.
In Skinner Families, Genalogy and Memorial, ed. by
William Richard Cutter, the above marriage to Thomas Skinner
is affirmed.
and:
In A History of Town of Norton, Bristol Co., Mass., 1669-1859,
by George Faber Clark, page 89, it also is affirmed, stating
they had eight children. It states will of Thomas Skinner
was made June 9, 1757, probated 19 May 1759. Therein they
have a question mark (?) after Hannah Carpenter (?) which
made me suspect she might have married under a married name
as a widow/ and/ or divorcee, if they allowed divorce back
then.
