John and Meralyn,
Do either of you have any mention of a RoxeyAnn Carpenter (b Oct. 1812;
married Asahel Luther) or an Alfred Madison Carpenter (b. Mar 24, 1830 in
Madison County, NY; d. Jan 14, 1915, KS) in your lines? They are the oldest
and youngest of a family of 11 children. Alfred Madison Carpenter is my
g-grandfather and my brick wall. I'm looking for names of the other 9
siblings and parents. If you have any possibilities, please help me scale my
wall!
Thanks,
Bonnie

Dear John:? (Smile)? I have been researching my Theda Carpenter for about 10
years now.? I've been told that her father was a Joseph and that her mothers
name was Harriett, but have not been able to confirm that.?? Theda was born
at De Ruyter, NY in 1804, and married Milton Maxson Main ca 1823.? They
immigrated to Chenango county then to Portville NY, and settled at Main
Settlement east of Portville.? If your Joseph is a possibilty I would love
to compare notes and share information.??? Thanks much???? Meralyn

Hi John
I am descended from Joseph of the New York Carpenters, who settled on the
Big Bend of the Jackson River in 1750.
My DNA goes back to William of Providence

some cousins there. I'm descended in the male line from Wm of Providence
and also from Hannah, daughter of Wm of Rehoboth. Our DNA shows a large
line of Carpenters from VA to be kin as well, but no one has the data for
that as yet. Maybe this meeting could give someone an idea of where to
find
it.
