Y-DNA can help eliminate and show a genetic connection between individuals
and groups. The genealogy or paper trail may never be proven, but knowing
the genetic connections can help narrow the search field and find lost
Carpenter Cousins!
The Carpenter Cousins Y-DNA Project web page is at:

Group 8 is the Tidewater Virginia Carpenters, see Table 1.
Click on one of the ID numbers and that will take you to the lineage page to

Please pardon my interruption , I am from Georgia, my ancestor is Bailey
Carpenter 1765-1834, he was for many years believed to be the brother of
Stephen Cullis Carpenter, Stephen is listed in the SC Archives in the
1700's . Sandra Carpenter Jay went to the Ga Archives and copied the
bibles
of the Carpenters inside written somewhere in the late 1700's it states
that the Carpenters were French. Is anyone working on the Georgia
Carpenters.? Thanks so much for allowing me to post this, Dorothy Smith
