George,
I like beef, especially well marinated for a few days before being slow
cooked. When ready you can cut it with a fork, it is delicious. Add a side
and a salad. That for me is a very good meal.
But, every once in a while I like a good steak with a liberal garlic rub.
The recipe of the garlic rub I use came out of an old beat up genealogy book
from Nebraska that I was given because it had a few Carpenters mentioned.
Garlic rub
8 garlic cloves peeled and smashed.
3 pinches of coarse salt.
2 pinches of pepper.
A measure of butter.
That is the way it was written. It may look crude, but works surprisingly
well.
