Deborah,
Thank you! Me too!
Was your Bambergs from Mississippi? Descendants of Eugene Blewett Bamberg?
(1854-1925)?
On my family line, my mother and my two older sisters were born in the city
of Bamberg in Bavaria, Germany. I still have relatives and fond memories of
Bamberg.

I enjoy very much the Carpenter related genealogical information. One of my
great grandmothers is a Carpenter, married a Bamberg.
I have found the commentary on all fronts interesting. I would appreciate
information on your countries at the given times so that I may celebrate
with you. God has blessed these last four hundred plus years in ways not
previously known. They may be coming to a close and we should celebrate
them for as long as possible. Some of my ancestors came here for religious
convictions (French Hugenots escaping French Revolution, Scots
Presbyterians escaping Anglican persecutors, Lutherans for unfound so far
reasons, Virginia Company men who later brought wives, among many others),
some for a way to survive. I have lived in a time of relative peace but
that too may be ending. Only time will tell. Hope all who are U. S.
citizens had a joyful 4th. Hope all others will share their independence
day celebrations too. Blessings
