Loyd,
Unfortunately, William Carpenter was never in the forefront, but in
supporting or secondary roles. In that he is typical of many Carpenters
who do not seek the limelight.
See:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Williams_(theologian)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Baptist_Church_in_America
And, FYI, I have received several emails off list that include putting him
on a genealogical wiki.
And I have found out that the main objections was a few wikipedia editors
absolute rejection of "personal web sites" being used for
"authoriative"
information.
I appreciate the emails of support and suggestions. When I can, I will
make corrections.
Does anyone have a picture they wish to donate to Wikipedia for the
William Carpenter of Providence, Rhode Island article?
Thank You again!
