John L.,
I need some help making the article I re-wrote more notable on William Carpenter of
Providence. I tried to clean up the error filled "William Vincent Carpenter"
which stood for a long time in error. Now unless I can make William more notable, he is
history - IE deleted.

Some of the objections is that William is not really that notable. And that the links to
Gene Zubrinsky's Sketches are bad sources because they are on personal web pages.

Some of the comments include: "... one of the problems is that it doesn't really
say what he's notable for. It says he's done some things, but he sounds just like
any ordinary guy from his era. What did he do that made him notable? (Also, the sources
are kind of iffy, given that they're on a personal website.)" and "It
really needs a major cleanup, and better sources. The only sources you have are from
personal websites. Do you have any books or anything on this guy? "
I can delete the Gene Zubrinsky links citing the "personal website" and cite
better ... but I need help in making him more notable.
Any suggestions from you or the members?
Any help appreciated.

PS - It took less than 12 hours from the re-write to some editors in deciding for speedy
deletion. So this request has time concerns before they delete the article. I do not
know how much time it has.
FYI - I am not even of that Carpenter line!
