The German Genealogy Group will hold its next monthly meeting on
Thursday, February 5th at:

The program this month will feature, ?Genealogy Related Records
in the Brooklyn Diocesan Office? with presenter Joseph Coen, C.A.
He will discuss the records that are available and how to request them.
Mr. Coen has been an archivist since 1986 and a Certified Archivist
since 1990. He has been Archivist for the Roman Catholic Diocese
of Brooklyn for 15 years. His experience includes archival work for
the N. Y. C. Municipal Archives, as well as records management
work for Western Suffolk BOCES.
An Orientation session for beginners and newcomers will be held at
7 PM and the regular meeting will start at 7:30. GGG members and
guests will have access to the building beginning at 6:30 PM.
Among the many benefits of GGG membership are a newsletter
published ten times a year, a database of surnames, a book and CD
lending library, interesting guest speakers at the meetings, mentoring,
a start-up kit of helpful information and much more.
We welcome all who are interested in researching their Germanic origins.
