Timothy, b. 1715, Westchester co, NY, m. Elizabeth Anderson of Rye NY, granddaughter of
Isaac and Prudence Woodward Anderson
Isaac II, b. 1744, prob Dutchester Co, NY, married Jane Purday Anderson, b. 1780,
Pittsdown, Renssalaer co, NY, married Betsy Foster
Timothy, b. 1800 Pittstown, Renssalaer co, NY, married Nancy Shaw, both died in Vernon
co, WI, but buried in Steuben co, NY where they reared their children
John, b. 1832, Steuben Co, NY, m. Marcia Rogers, b. Marlow, NH, daughter of Elias
Roger, married in Chataugua co, NY in 1861, moved to Vernon Co, WI immediately after where
their marriage is registered. Served in Union army during War of the Northern Aggression,
later moved thru Midwest including Dakota Territory, died and buried in Biloxi MS. Marcia
accompanied by grandparents to southern NM, where she died about 1910, and was buried
beside her husband in a cemetary that washed away during a hurricane in the '60's
(recorded their tombstone data in Dec, 1954 (under the bed, I hope)
Alva Francis, b. June 13, Vernon co, WI, m Emily Virginia Wiggins of Monroe co AL, lived
in several sw AL counties, moved to territory of NM in 1910 with grandmother, 8 children,
2 nephews and one neice of Grandma's, and a Negro mammy, Ella Taylor, illegitimate
daughter of Zachary Taylor, died in early 30's in Houston, TX, body returned to Dona
Ana co, NM, where my grandmother was buried beside him about 2 yrs later. Masonic
cemetary, Compress Rd, Las Cruces, NM.
Alva, b June 8, 1900, Clark co, AL, m. Ocie Velma McElhannon, b 1901, Logan co, AR,
daughter of John Riley McElhannon and Anetta Henrietta Holzmann. Alva died July 4, 1975,
Pecos co, TX, buried in Ft Stockton TX, Velma died in 1953, buried in El Paso TX.
John Mac, me, b. 10 Jan, 1938, Dona Ana co, NM, grew up in Ward co, TX, have lived
mostly in Pecos co, TX as an adult.
This is from a list I put together in 2003 for the Carpenter cousin project before the
first meeting in Louisville KY. Wish we were still having them, but am finding it harder
to travel.
