Gene, this shows one of the dangers in not keeping up with data,
which is a
big problem of mine. I try to always make sure that what I share is
correct
but since I put everything in boxes to do some remodeling I haven't
been
able to make myself go thru the boxes and straigthen things out,
putting
things where they belong so I don't have the data for all this. I
am sure
that you're right anyway since I know you are a more experienced and
skilled
researcher than I, and I appreciate that when I'm exchanging data.
You're not as out of it as you might think, John. I developed the
data on Elizabeth (Mrs. William3) Carpenter and on the Thornycrafts
only within the last couple of years. The sketches in which it
appears--those of Joseph2 Carpenter (William1 of Providence) and his
first wife, Hannah3 Carpenter (William2 of Rehoboth)--have been online
less than a year. They are among a dozen sketches pertaining to early
Rehoboth and Providence Carpenters and containing the most current and
reliable information available on those individuals and families. All
are accessible online at <
www.members.cox.net/jrcrin001/carplink.htm>
and in John R. Carpenter, ed., _Carpenters' Encyclopedia of Carpenters
2009_ (DVD).
