Tom,
In our main database, I have no genealogical matches with the names you
provided.
We have Y-DNA members with ancestors from ...
Dubeczno, Poland - a Jacob Zimmerman b. abt 1857.
Santow, Poland - Zimmer family 1830 to abt 1859.
Przedborz, Radomsko, Poland - Cymerman family from abt 1776 to 1883.
Przedborz, Radom and Zwollen, Poland areas - Cymerman/Zimmermann family from
abt 1776 to 1920s. Related to above.
Present day Lativa area into Poland - ZImmerman family from abt 1835 to abt
1867.
Some I believe have Jewish ancestry.
In addition to the above, We also have the following surnames in the
genealogical database associated with Poland.
Belfort (Lemberg), Danilowicz/Jachimek (Poland), Goldstein (Poland), Haase
(Danzig), Kaplan, Klau, Kotuk, Krychuk, Krychuk, Kwiatkowski, Pisarsky,
Podrat, ... and even a few Zordels.
The key to see if you match anyone is a Y-DNA test. Y-DNA focuses on the
male surname. I suggest at least 37 markers. Some DNA tests like the atDNA
are short range 5-6 generations and others like the mtDNA focuses on the
mothers mothers line. See next.
See the two handouts at the end of DNA Testing blurb at the class link:

I encourage anyone on the list Poland, related then area Russia and such, to
contact you off list with any information. Sometimes a suggestion like
Jewish Web and such are helpful.

Subject: [CARPENTER] Carpenter roots Question... any Jewish root info?
Hello Mr. Carpenter,
I was wondering how I may determine if your group can assist. I am seeking
family information; had some ancestors from Brest Litovsk in Belarus. My gr
Grandparents paternal bornl1871,for Frank Zimmerman, his father Yosef (he
may have been born in Ukraine?).. Due to boundary changes in the Pale of
settlement changing a few times this has proven to be difficult. A few
spelling variants; Tsimmerman, Csimmerman, Zimmerman. Was curious as Jewish
family with German name located in this ares in 1800's settles in this area.
With an exception of the possibility to flee persecution of Jews. Any
insights or suggestions are appreciated.
I thank you,
Tom Zimmerman
