Sally,
You are right about the mixing of different people on this line. While I am
a keeper of info, this does not mean I research those particular lines.
What is needed is some one to take a hard look at this line and try to sift
the fiction from the fact. Interested?
When we share information, this helps others. Especially if we document,
document and document where we get the information.
Good hunting!

I appreciate all your work, and know you are the keeper of much
Carpenter
information. But I feel certain you are mixing some people. My Thomas
Carpenter was born 25 Feb 1808, married Nancy Elizabeth Conard/Conrad abt
1827 in Fleming Co, KY. She was born 10 Apr 1810 in Fleming Co. and died
abt 1880 in Madison Co. IN.
He was never married to Nancy Collum as written in your report. That was
a
different Thomas who I think was born 1810, married her 1833 in Owen IN.
He
may have been the one who is descended from John who went from VA to IN.
I
have been in contact with descendants of Richard and Henry who have the
same
info as I do. So that still leaves us with no credible evidence as to the
parentage of our Thomas.
Thank you for your help. And we hope someone will come up with the
information we need at some point.
Sally
