This book is about A young women of 20 yrs old, story of life in Rural area
of the Blackstone Valley in the 1820's after her both parents die within 2
yrs of each other and her struggle to keep her 9 brothers and sister
together and run the family farm by themselves to keep from being auctioned
off,as was done those days,as poor orphans.
This was a very heart warming story with the joys and hardships of rural
New England life in the 1820's especially with out parents
This 20 yr old who finds her self suddenly responsible for the welfare of
her nine siblings and is well written and easily read in a day's time.
This work provides great insight to how it must have been for our ancestors
in the 18 th century.
I recomend this reading to anyone researching families in that era.
