Hi Everyone,
Well, I'm off to Boston in the morning to see my daughter for a
week. Saturday and Sunday we will spend in Rehoboth and No. Kingston!!!! I'm
so-oo-o excited! I plan on taking lots of pictures of Gravestones and
houses and such. I wrote the Chamber of Commerce-I don't think they have
one with only 8,500 people in the village. Cousin Joseph A. Carpenter wrote
back and told me about the Carpenter Museum named after an Uncle not William
#16 (Immigrant, Carp. Memorial). A trust keeps it open. He said William #16
and Daniel's graves are in East Providence (down the road a piece) and I
forgot the third. The Museum is only open on Sunday 2-4 pm. I found a book
here in the Albuq. Gene. Lib. that lists all the graves of RI with maps.
Very good book. Found the graves of John Reynolds and Sarah Carpenter (I
think). So plan to visit it although it is in poor condition. I will report
back in a week or so on how it all went! I can't believe I'm going to
actually get there after hearing about it all these years. Talk to you all
next week. Linda
