Linda,
RI-VT-NY connection, by any chance? My GGGgrandfather, John CARPENTER, b.
1797 in VT, had a son, Robert. I don't know his dob, but his brother James
was b. about 1823. If every generation in your list was born to young
parents, it could about barely fit. My bunch is from Madison County, NY,
and John came from VT to NY.
Okay, I'm tired, stressed, and desperate. What can I say?

This is what I have : Robert Carpenter
son: Reason. His son: Robert; Robert's daughter, Nettie Irene Carpenter
b.1872, my grandmother. Is anyone else researching this line? Do you
have any info on the parents of the first Robert?
I have info on Robert (G gf) siblings.
Nettie Irene Carpenter's m. was Mary Ellen Schofield (some places have
her listed as Morris). Any info about Mary Ellen would be appreciated.
