Do you know what the O. and the other O. stand for? I'd give a quarter to
know that one of those names is Osmer! My GGgrandfather, Osmer Harold
CARPENTER, was born in 1849 in Madison County, NY. Osmers of any stripe
are
a rare breed, but Osmers of the Carpenter variety are--well--so far as I
have documented it, there have been three. I am related to two. (The
second one is my father, who wants to know where this name came from as a
first name.)
