Carpenter, Calvin G., Fairfield, dairyman and farmer,
400 acres
pg 262 Sgt Calvin O. Carpenter, Co C., age 28, son of Stephen
F. Carpenter, was born on the family farm in Fairfield.
After the civil war he married Mary A. Barnes.
pg 300 Member of the 1st Free Baptist Church of Christ,
Middleville,New york, 1920, Susannah Carpenter.
pg 330 Member of Aurora Lodge 52 (1797-1799), Stephen Carpenter.
pg 334 on Dec 23, 1908 ladies of the Fairfield Grange held a
leap year party at the Grange temple. Present was Mrs.
Ralph Carpenter.
page 364 On Jan 10, 1814, a subscription list for the
Herkimer manufacturing Company was started. On the names
of stockholders was Nathaniel Carpenter. The company was
formed to manufacture wool, cotton, flax and iron. The
company was sited on the West side of the Canada Creek.
