Vickie--Your nearest Mormon Family History Library shows 367 Carpenter
listings in its Surname bibliography. Most of them have been microfilmed and
can be ordered for a small fee. This bib. is found on their CDRom called
:"Library". To find your nearest FHC, go to

PS I have two CARPENTER lines, Owen's, as referred to in previously mailings,
whose descendants ended up in TX and NM, (Henry Ira) and Heinrich (Zimmerman)
CARPENTER of Lancaster Co., PA. through his granddaughter, Esther, who
married Maj. John JACKS who apparently was with Washington's Army at
Morristown, NJ. Their daughter, Lydia was born there. She then married Daniel
BURNETT.
(Just another little piece of the puzzle!)
