Hi again All!! I
It kills me when I can't help someone...to clarify my original post....The
head-of-household Census is for 1790. Unfortunately the Capitol was burned by
the British in 1812 and the census schedules of 1790 for the states of
Deleware, Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, Tennessee and Virginia were
destroyed. A partial reconstructed census for 1800 Kentucky is included.
I should have been more clear...my mistake!! Happy doing look-ups for
anyone!!
>have just been passed along a book, The Carpenter Family published
by the
National Genealogical Research Institute in 1975.
It has some great info in it if anyone is interested....
It has: Carpenter marriages prior to 1700 in it
Names of the head of families in 12 of the 13 original states (over
500)
Carpenter Family militia history (20 pgs of names dates regiments
etc
Short biographies of 12 Carpenter men
to name but a bit!
Regards!!
Laurie
