C. of Rangers inlisted Sept. 24,1776.
N.H. Rev Rolls vol. II p. 394 Jesse Carpenter Private in Capt. Joshua
Hayward's Co. which marched from Haverhill and other towns to join the
Norther Continental Army near Saratoga and wher embodied in Col. Jona
Chase's Regiment Sept. 1977 Enlisted Oct. 2, in service 25 days.
N.H. Rev. Rolls vol. III p. 88 Jesse Carpenter Private 2mo. 4d. under Cap.
Josiah Russell's Company of Rangers.
The family was from the N.H. and Vermont part of the country any help on
this family would be of great help.
