Thanks for the reply John. I think you can help. :-)
Unfortunately, the city wants no part of this property, so police would not happen. The
residents of the neighborhood are the problem. They think it is public property that they
can use whenever they wish.
I really just want to protect the integrity of the property and monument by proceeding
with my outlined plans. But, I need permission from descendants, as many as possible, in
the former of a letter.
I wish I had exchanged contact info with the descendants I have met in the past, but it
wasn't an issue then.
Hopefully some will reach out to me.
Thanks,
Mike Taylor

Thanks for the update it is what's happening all around Tall monuments
are frequently toppled others are marked up. Today's children have no respect
for the ancestors. I am not sure what could be done but assign a night
watchman or other Police patrol which they can't afford most time Maybe a
Neighborhood watch type thing is the answer. It is heart breaking whenever I
hear of such news. I am a descendant of the R.I. Clan. William's son Joseph m
oved to L .I ,N.Y. I am Descended from there. If I can be of help let me
know
