My ggg grandfather's name was Ezra Carpenter dob, 1795. He married
Sarah, last name not known, dob abt. 1803. They resided in DeRuyter,
N.Y. Madison County. They had five children: 1 Philip 1824, 2-Lewis
1826, 3-Sarah 1828, 4-Harriet 1831, and 5-Samuel 1833
My gg grandfather was Lewis Carpenter 1826, Married Rachel Fish, and
had five children:
1-William 1859, 2 Katie 1861, Sarah 1864, Genevieve 1868 in Niles,
N.Y., and Henry 1872
Genevieve Carpenter Robbins 1868 married Verner Levi Robbins. Both are
buried in the Richburg Cemetery, Richburg, N.Y. Allegany County.
I hope this information helps, and perhaps you can provide me with
some information, so that some of the blank spaces can be filled in.

Counties. The RI census of 1774 shows John Carpenter who had four
persons in his household. John, wife Sarah, son Samuel (b. 1772) and
one other female probably a relative. The name John Carpenter also
appears on the Sciutate list.

I am seeking the parents of Ezra CARPENTER b. ca 1800 in Madison County.
In the IGI I notice reference to an Ezra CARPENTER born in Madison
County, son of Isaac CARPENTER and Mary FROST. The birth place is listed
variously as Ninthtown, Matincock, North Castle or Duanesburg.
Apparently these refer to the same place. Does anyone know the history
of this place. Why all the different names? My Ezra CARPENTER married
Minerva NICHOLS and died in Sheridan, Chautaugua Co. in 1868. Any
assistance would be appreciated.
