Steve,
One of my research buddies (and possibly very distant cousin) pointed out to me that you
assert that Charles Jordan was married to a White. If you have established this, where
did they come from? John Carpenter, who made his mark/brand with an I, married into the
White family (John White, Jr.) of Isle of Wight Co, VA which used to extend to the VA/NC
border. John Carpenter was married to Elizabeth White, they had a son who appears to have
migrated to the Quankey Creek area of Halifax (formerly Edgecombe). John White had a
daughter named Milliscent. It is my belief that she married James Reeves. (John White was
Elizabeth Carpenter's father). Sometime in the 1720's or 1730's. The Whites,
Carpenters, and Reeves moved into the Quankey Creek area. It is also my belief that the
Carpenter who married Mary Reeves (daughter of William Reeves, and sister to James Reeves)
is William Carpenter, son of John. None of this has been conclusively established. I
have yet to get a plat!

map drawn of the Quankey Creek area to check all this out as I need to get the metes and
bounds descriptions which of course are not on the abstracts.
This was another long winded statement to get to the point that you may be hooked up with
this group. Can you connect your White to John White, Sr. or John White, Jr. or his son
Valentine White?
