Actually this would refer to the 2nd Lord Carpenter, like his father he was
also named George.
George Carpenter 2nd-11686 (George) was born about 26 Aug 1702 in Ocle
Pychard,Hereford,England, UK. He was christened in Baron,of
Killaghy,Ireland. He died on 12 Jul 1749 in Grosvenor
Square,Middlesex,England, UK. He was buried in Owselbury
Church,Owselbury,Hants,England, UK.
George 2nd Baron, Lt. Col. of the first regiment of horse guards.
His Lordship married in 1722, Elizabeth, the only daughter of David Petty,
Esq., of Wanstead, county Essex, and dying 12 July 1749 (buried in family
vault at Owlesbury Church), left (with a daughter Alicia-Maria, m. 1st, to
Charles 2nd Earl of Egremont, and 2ndly, to Count Bruhl).
An only surviving son who became George the 3rd.
