Further investigation, of the supposed documentation for the
death of

ACTUALLY be documentation of the death of Elizabeth
GRISSELL/GRISWOLD, wife of Jonah Palmer SR.

(emphasis mine)
I had accepted the documentation provided me by another
researcher, and went on to verify it this afternoon.
Furthermore, I found the birth of Elihu, to Jonah Palmer and
wife Elizabeth Kendrick 19 January 1699-1700, so Elizabeth
Kendrick Palmer WAS alive and well after the date of the
supposed marriage to Abigail d/o Joseph and Margaret Sutton.
I believe that this sufficiently answers the remote possibility
in my mind that there might actually have been a marriage of
Jonah Palmer, Jr. and Abigail Carpenter d/o Joseph and Margaret
Sutton.
