Every source I have seen has the wife of Jotham, Jr. b. 1 August
1708, (son of Jotham Carpenter, son of Benjamin and Renew Weeks)
as
Mehitable THOMPSON
While this record obviously reverses the names of the bride and
groom, the only Jotham Jr. at that time, that I'm aware of was
the Jotham described above.

Intentions
Groom: Mehitable Thurston
Groom Residence: Rehoboth
Bride: Jotham Carpenter, Jr.
Bride Residence: Rehoboth
Int Date: 06 Apr 1728
I checked on-line and found NO record of this marriage in
Carpenter trees including this Jotham, Jr.. They all had his
wife's name as Mehitable THOMPSON.
Has anyone dealt with this puzzling circumstance before?

PS Was going to look for the marriage of Jotham, Jr to Mehitable
THOMPSON this morning but there is something wrong with
Ancestry.com. You can get onto the site, and records are
described, but not available to search.
