This Raymond, if he returned home to Logan county was quite possibly part of
Martin's family, since Logan county was formed from the southern half of
Franklin county and those Carpenters buried in the Carpenter cemetary that I
have visited are on both sides of the line. In fact the cemetary is in
Logan county.
I don't have any data here , just curiosity.

Subject: [CARPENTER] Raymond Carpenter
I am looking for a Raymond Carpenter who would have been born around
1900.
I beleive he may have been born in San Antonio Texas. He married Corinna
McVay and they had a son Raymond Carpenter Jr. who was born in San Antonio
Texas on June 14, 1924. In 1926 he was in Logan County Arkansas where
Corinna died. He gave his son to Corinna's sister Ida Rosalind and her
husband who moved Raymond Jr. to Atlanta, Georgia. Raymond Sr wrote Ida
sometime later saying he was in Oklahoma City and that he had remarried and
had another son. I would love to hear about him. I am the granddaughter of
Raymond Jr. (who's name was changed to David Harmon Johns). The family
knows very little about Raymond Sr. so any information could help.
Thanks,
