Listers:
Over the years of researching my Thomson line, which was my mother's maiden name, I
have collected a lot of "loose ends" on the Carothers (and similar spellings)
surname.
My greatgrandfather Robert Thomson (1815--1883), born and raised and died in Allegheny
Co., PA had an older sister, Ann Jane Thomson (1804, Franklin Co., PA--1863,
Lawrenceville, Allegheny Co., PA) who was married to Robert Carothers, b. 1798, Ireland;
d. 1865, Lawrenceville, Allegheny Co., PA.
I have tried for many years to make contact with any descendants of this couple, without
success.? Anyhow, I am going to post notes that I have, that hopefully will be of use and
help to all in your research.
