REDFORD — Mr. Joseph E. Caron, 92, formerly of Redford and Plattsburgh, passed away
Sunday, April 28, 2002, at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home in Watertown, N.Y.
He was born in Riverview, N.Y. on July 22, 1909, the son of John C. and Esther (Gonyea)
Caron.
He was a member of the Carpenter’s Local #1042 since 1946.
Joseph and his late wife, Irene, had been lifelong residents of Redford. She predeceased
him on Dec. 20, 1980. He then made his home in Plattsburgh since 1982 prior to moving to
Watertown. While living in Redford, he was a member of the Church of the Assumption, and
while in Plattsburgh he was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church.
In addition to his wife, Joe was predeceased by a son, Harold J. Caron.
He is survived by a son, Donald A. Caron and his wife, Joan, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.;
two daughters, Theresa Boldman of Mannsville, N.Y., and Linda Belofski and her husband,
Donald, of Concord, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Rose Caron of North Hero, Vt., and
Brooksville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and
nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in
Plattsburgh.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Church of the
Assumption in Redford.
Interment will follow in the family plot in the Church of the Assumption Cemetery.
Friends wishing may have Masses said in his memory.
