Dear Mary,
I can't tell yet if this is a match. My Dan was married in Kalamazoo and I
found him on the 1860 MI Census but I haven't found him after that. One of
his sons shows up in Chicago in 1900 and 1920. I checked for Dan in MI,
Illinois, and Kansas but hadn't checked in WI. I do not have any
information about Dan's parents or siblings and so can't confirm the
information about a 14 year old sister. I will try to check the WI census
and see if I can connect with your information that way. I do know Dan and
Mary were living in 1872 as that is when their last daughter was born. I do
have a list of Dan and Mary's children, and dates of birth if that is in
your probate record at all.
Thanks for writing and perhaps we will still connect.
Sincerely,
Janice

Janice,
Have you any more info on your Dan? I have a copy of a probate record that
was filed by Daniel in
1865 asking he be appointed Guardian of his 14 yr. old sister, Margaret E.
Carney. Their mother
and father were both dead, the father was James it appears. Margaret and
maybe Daniel were living in
WI. If this is of any help, I'll get out the magnifying glass to read the
details for you "off list."
Mary
