Hi,
I have been looking for Rita Margaret Carney, could have been known as
Margaret. She was born in 1918 to James Carney and Agnes Swift. I have been
told that they came from County Mayo, I don't know where they counties are
positioned so I thought I'ld write you back and see what you thought. This
family came to live in the Bronx of NY, at least untill 1941, then we lost
them, have no idea where they went. I know that Irish families name children
for a realitive alot of times, so when I saw the name Margaret, I thought it
was worth a shot.
Thanks,
Connie

Is anyone researching a family named CARNEY in King's County
Ireland? My
family appears to have lived there prior to 1830. I am looking for the
ancestors of Patrick Carney (born about March 17, 1826). What little third
party documentation I have says that Patrick's father was named Rudolph,
Raymond, or most likely Rodger. He was a brickmason by trade, and may have
had a brother named Michael. Mother's name was Margaret.
