Even if this is not in your prime time frame, I have Hugh CARNEY, his wife
and children in 1880 Braidwood IL. I will be glad to share what I have.

Message Board Post:
I have been collecting data on all Carneys in the U.S. from 1600-1850
(dropping
those north of VA for the time being). I have a database of over
9000 names (with marriages included), filling over 27 notebooks (of
searchable text), and half that much of "gotta-get-to-someday" papers. I am
not too interested in all the Carney members from 1850-2000, since I
initiated my search to locate my great-great-grandparents. With burned out
courthouses, and backwoods locales, I have NOT found what I am looking for,
but am constantly working.
Emphasis is on:
Stewart Co., TN
(most other parts of TN, too)
Greenville Co., SC
Pickens Co., SC
Stafford Co., VA
Halifax Co., NC
Bertie Co., NC
Caswell Co., NC
Pitt Co., NC
Dobbs Co., NC
Frederick Co., MD and VA
Berkeley Co., VA (now WV)
Trigg Co., KY
Caldwell Co., KY
Christian Co., KY
Madison Co., KY
Gwinnett Co., GA & Cherokee Territory
but also includes:
Norfolk, VA
Lincoln, ME
PA
MD
WV
After 1830, emphasis is on IN, OH, IL, MO, AR, ....
I am particularly interested in collecting wills, administrations, deeds,
marriages, cemetery records and census images. I am disinterested in Family
Pedigrees (for they usually include more errors than I want to inject
(making sufficient all by myself!).
If you have data to share, please contact me.
