Dear Folks,
Looking for Irish links to the Kearney/Carney family, settled in Ferryland Newfoundland
1780s. Ferryland Court Records (1794)name James Kearney, a planter, and Andrew and brother
Michael (1804)of Biscay Bay. An 1800 census lists John Carney and his wife Elizabeth and
two sons (Michael b. 1777)and John (b. 1773). Although I can follow the links here in
Newfoundland, particularly Michael's family, I have no idea where these
Carney's/Kearneys originated in Ireland. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
A.K. Guigne Newfoundland
